Can I self-host Shipyard for free?

Yes. Shipyard is open source — clone the repo, run it locally, and deploy unlimited apps on your own infrastructure at no cost. Paid plans add hosted Shipyard Cloud, team features, and priority support.

What counts as an app?

Each iOS or Android project in your Shipyard workspace (under apps/) counts as one app. Multi-platform apps with the same slug still count as one app.

Do AI features require a paid plan?

Self-hosted users bring their own Google Gemini or DeepSeek API keys. Shipyard Cloud Pro and above include managed AI credits for metadata, release notes, icons, and pre-deploy review.

Can I change plans later?

Yes. Upgrade or downgrade anytime from Settings → Billing. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle; annual plans are prorated when upgrading.

Is there a trial for paid plans?

Growth and Studio include a 14-day free trial — no credit card required to start. Enterprise pilots are scoped with our team.
